IC Depot
Title:  IC Depot
Description:  Here is the old Tunica Depot that was used through most of the IC years. This depot ceased to exist sometime between 1975 and 1979. The ICG replaced this depot with a metal building relocated from Vaiden, MS. The last passenger train to stop here was the Delta Express on March 27, 1965. The last time Tunica had a full-time operator was in April 1972, but mobile agents continued to use this depot well into the 70's. Tunica had a resident switcher that made a trip down to Lula and across the Mississippi River via barge to Helena, AR. This job also went to Jonestown, MS. This job was abolished in the summer of 1974. Photo taken sometime in 1968, facing south, mile 38.8.
