Here is old end of the line location just south of Mathiston at about mile 253.3 at the Double Springs Road Crossing lookhng north. When the track was abandoned in 1981, a small 2 mile section of track was left in place between here and Mathiston with the intensions of restoring rail service to 2 rail customers, but rail service never returned and this section of track is now gone also. Picture taken somtime in May of 2000. |
