I got a chance to pilot an Iowa Pacific passenger special that was en route to Memphis Central Station to be on display for train day the following day. I got on the train at Hernando and we are stopped in the picture here at State Line Rd. waiting for the CN Yardmaster to let us on to CN property. This was the first all IC painted passenger train to run into Central Staion in over 40 years. Two days later when the train went back to Grenada, people were allowed to ride the train back and it sold out at 112 passengers. |

| Description: |
Two E units and 5 passengers cars head north by the old IC depot in light rain headed to Memphis Central Station for the annual Train Day where it was put on display for the public. The train went north without passengers but returned south two days later to Grenada with 112 passengers. I was called to be the pilot for this train that day to get the train to Central Station as the crew was not qualified on some of CN's track in Memphis. |
