Amtrak detouring because of a derailment on the Yazoo Sub. The 2 people on the ground from left to right are Brakeman Aaron Bishop (borrowing out from Jackson), Engineer J.L.Crawford, and on the engine is Traveling Engineer Ed Regal. Aarron no longer works for the railroad, JL retired in 2005 and Ed retired in 2014. These two engineers used to run IC passenger trains through here. The policeman in the car came down to the depot to see Amtrak stop, he was also a rail buff. |
