Depot
Here is the Coffeeville Depot during the summer of 1982. This railroad was abandoned this same year from Oxford to a mile or two north of this location. The tracks were removed from downtown Coffeeville about two years after this picture. You can already see the pile of ballast that is probably from the abandoned portion. This depot is now gone. Also in the picture, the old Coffeeville Hotel, which is also gone. The main line is between the depot and the hotel. The track in the foreground is the house track. The last passenger trains to stop here were No. 125 and 126 local passenger in August of 1941. The last agent to work out of here was in March of 1970.
