I-02 |
Description: |
New Orleans to Chicago pig train I-02 is headed north by the siding called Delta, which is by the little community of Renswhaw. The railroad had to rename this siding because there was a head-on collision here in the early 1990's when the line did not have signals. There was a siding called Crenshaw and the one here was Renshaw, the two locations got mixed up. Date is approx. Photo by Fred Goff. |

Dyersburg Switcher |
Description: |
The Dyersburg Switcher's engine is tied down on the coal chute as today is this job's only day off. Old heads on the Fulton District used to call these engines Thunderbirds because they were geared to run high speed and the IC normally used them for power on the pigs. |
